The Hostelling International Bolivia Foundation (reg. 219/2001) is the Bolivian sister association of the German Youth Hostel Association, the Austrian Youth Hostel Association and the Swiss Youth Hostels and has been a full member of the World Association IYHF-UK – www.HIhostels.com since 2002

We are a non-governmental organization registered under Bolivian law (NGO-1206) and have been involved in various social and ethno-tourism issues for almost twenty years now.

Our guiding principle is laid down in the statutes of the International Youth Hostels HI:

“To promote the education of young people of all nations, but especially young people with limited financial resources, rising by traveling their love of nature and developing an understanding of cultural and social values in all parts of the world. Make sure that no differences are made according to race, nationality, skin color, denomination, gender, social origin or religion and political stance, and that a better understanding of fellow human beings can be achieved, both at home and abroad. “

The Spanish language is crucial to improve communication. That is why, with the partner school “Casa Andina de Lengua” in Sucre, we offer correspondingly highly qualified Spanish lessons in private lessons.
